this is the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/recarea\/psicc\/recarea\/?recid=12978\"> Brookside-McCurdy Trailhead<\/a><br \/>\n\u2022 There is no charge to park or enter<br \/>\n\u2022 Google Maps shows the roads in this area OK<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Hike and the Climb:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Google Maps only shows fragments of the trails here &#8211; I logged 58 CW contacts on 4 HF bands during my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sota.org.uk\/\">SOTA<\/a> first activation.<\/p>\n<p>UHF\/VHF coverage probably is limited to the area around Bailey, plus a few places out east.<\/p>\n<p>The peak feels very high when you\u2019re up there.
