Pegmatite on the Summit Ridge\n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl><br style=\"clear: both\" \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<br \/>\n\u2022 There are several rocky sub-peaks near the real summit \u2013 be sure you pick the correct one for your activation<\/p>\n<p>Details:<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.fed.us\/r2\/recreation\/map\/vis_maps\/psicc\/pike-nf-map\/index.shtml\">Pike National Forest Map<\/a> is useful for planning a hike to 10874; it shows the useful roads CR 31 and FR-231.<\/p>\n<p>FR-231 is not quite a 4WD road, but high clearance is required, especially for the upper sections near the peak. Peak 10462 can be glimpsed through the trees from the east end of the summit ridge. From the summit one can see the actual extent of the Puma Hills far to the north and south.
