Directions:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Drive west on Highway 285 and cross Kenosha Pass<br \/>\n\u2022 Continue west on Highway 285 about 11 miles<br \/>\n\u2022 Turn north on CR 33 and drive about \u00bd mile to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Como,_Colorado\">Como<\/a><br \/>\n\u2022 Pass through Como and drive up CR 33 about 9 miles to Boreas Pass at 11482 feet<br \/>\n\u2022 The route follows a historic narrow gage rail line and continues all the way across to Breckenridge<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.traildamage.com\/trails\/index.php?id=74\">Boreas Pass Road<\/a> CR 33 also can be reached by driving up from Breckenridge and I-70 to the north<br \/>\n\u2022 CR 33 is an OK unpaved road, with several rough, rocky sections, but most cars can make the trip along the railway roadbed<br \/>\n\u2022 Do not drive all the way up to the pass<br \/>\n\u2022 Park at Selkirk Gulch, at 10,960 feet, where the road takes a broad bend to the left as it goes across a small creek.<br \/>\n\u2022 This spot is about 1 mile north of the marked left turn, northwest, where FR-801 goes down to Selkirk Campground.<br \/>\n\u2022 This is the A large cairn is near the summit, and a tiny wind shelter is available nearby; a register container is there. I guyed my pole to some rocks and set up my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sota.org.uk\/\">SOTA<\/a> radio gear in the lee of the wind shelter. It falls away in all directions, and the noise level is very low. Almost no development is visible nearby. The views of the high <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Continental_Divide_of_the_Americas\">Divide <\/a>to the southwest are nice \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summitpost.org\/hoosier-ridge-and-red-peak-a\/278435\">Red Peak, Hoosier Ridge<\/a>, and huge <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summitpost.org\/mount-silverheels\/151829\">Mount Silverheels<\/a>. The \u201ctrailhead\u201d for that route is about \u00bc mile down the road from Selkirk Creek.
